Arabic Inspiration
Naskhi script has been around since the 10th century, and is still used today. I think it is beautiful, and think it will work its way into some of my acrylic paintings. Just a feeling.
Dove with Pink Circles
I like the dove. I decided to take a bit of the background from the last drawing and make it the entire background on this one. I think I drew and colored in a thousand circles.
Colorful Dove
I finished. I think I need glasses now. I’m going to shop for a pair of reading glasses this weekend, at any rate. Too bad I’m no longer teaching–I always wanted a pair of glasses to scootch down my nose and peer over.
In Progress–Dove
I drew this on the smoothest watercolor paper I could find. I am going to shade it in with the Copic markers. Here it is below–I finished the drawing, but hated how it looked when scanned–the lines all appeared to be broken. So I reversed the image.

Colors
I had so much fun painting this. I love the contrast between black and the brightest colors I can cook up.

Acrylic Letters
I originally bought this “o” because I liked the shape. A friend of mine liked it a lot because it was a letter. So now I’m painting more letters.
